Human Capital & Education

Focus: National Reading Program (Standard 1-4) and Early Childhood Development (ECD).

Key Achievement:
- Primary enrollment in Mpalo increased from 954 to 1,152. 

- Scholarship support for 7 vulnerable students (4 girls and 3 boys) at high school level.

- Construction of Girls Hostel at Mankhaka Community Day Secondary School.

- Construction of 3 Community Based Child Care Centers.

- 10 children (8 girls and 2 boys) withdrawn in child marriages and re-admitted in schools.

- Over 7000 learners for standard 1-4 in primary schools supported with reading and writing skills.

Maternal and Child health and Wash

Key Achievement: 
- Reduced Malaria cases from 1,112 to 313 in Mpalo Area Program – Ntchisi district.

- 0 Maternal deaths recorded in Mpalo Area Programme –Ntchisi
district in 2024/2025 compared to 13 maternal deaths recorded in the district as a whole during the same period.

- 8441 youths including adolescent boys and girls access to quality
Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services improved in the targeted communities.

- 1469 under five children supported with nutrition supplements in the
targeted community based child care centers.

- Reduced diarrhea cases from 158 to 35 cases in Mpalo Area
Programme - Ntchisi district.

Livelihoods & Economic Development

Focus: Village Savings and Loans (VSL), vocational skills, and goat pass-on programs.

Key Achievement: 155 youth trained in tailoring; 150 families benefiting from goat pass-on.

Community Health & Well-being

Focus: Maternal & Child Health (MCH), WASH, and Malaria prevention.

Key Achievement: Reduced malaria cases from 1,112 to 313 in Mpalo AP.

Gender Equality & Child Protection

Focus: Ending child marriage, SGBV advocacy, and women’s land rights.

Key Achievement:
- Withdrawn 108 children from child marriages and appointed to the National Task Force.

- Contributed to Withdraw 140 children from child marriages.

- Establishment and capacity strengthening of 19 Women Movements and 12 Male champions to advance Gender equality in the targeted communities.

- 17 persons with disability (5 Adults and 12 children) supported with wheelchairs and tri-cycles for easy mobility to take part in decisions making and benefit from development activities at
community level.
